“Hooked” is the first painting to come to this collection. The idea came with the others in mind but there was a clearly start to this tale. The depiction of sinking. Not only sinking, but the idea of hopelessness coincides with the other themes of hope in surrounding paintings. There is a certain death that comes to hopelessness, a death of dreams, a death of the future, and a death of oneself who used to look to all those things.
